On choosing a bioinformatics project

Bioinformatics is an incredibly broad field, covering all fields of biology where computation and automation can assist in finding answers. Asking what is "the good project" is somewhat like asking what is "the best place" on earth. It depends on what you like, what you find entertaining, your favourite hobbies, etc.

If you're simply trying to get a poll of what area people work on, that might be a great place to start. So perhaps you might rephrase this as: "Hello all, what bioinformatics projects do you work on, and how do new people get involved in your field?".........e.g you can
construct a model for the KaiA,KaiB,KaiC + ATP in vitro circadian oscillation. Any project that attempts to answer a scientific question rather than merely develop another database, web site, algorithm or prediction server is potentially a good bioinformatics project.you can also work on the following topics:
Project 1: Bioinformatic discovery of novel protein domains and domain architectures encoded in oomycete genomes.

Project 2: Comparison and bench-marking of methods for de novo assembly of Next-Generation sequence data

Project 3: Comparative genomics of plant pathogens using ‘Next Generation’ sequencing data

Project 4: Comparison of two published human genome sequences

Project 5. Temporal 2D/3D in vitro/vivo cellular and structural phenotype analysis
Project 6. Redefine statistical pattern recognition and machine learning theorem in temporal feature space
project 6. Cell behavior modeling and virtual cell
